Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage all R&D initiatives focused on formulation development, application innovation, and new product launches for industrial adhesives.

- Drive end-to-end new product development (NPD) from concept, formulation, lab trials, and performance testing to pilot scale-up and plant-level validation.

- Develop advanced adhesive solutions including rubber-based, PVC-compatible, pressure-sensitive, solvent-based, water-based, and hot-melt adhesives for various applications.

- Identify market gaps and customer needs through collaboration with sales, marketing, and key clients to define R&D priorities.

- Ensure all formulations comply with Indian standards (BIS, ISI) and regulatory norms (CPCB, SPCB, EHS).

- Integrate sustainable, cost-effective raw materials into new developments without compromising performance.

- Liaise with testing and certification agencies (e.g., CIPET, NABL labs) for product validation and customer approvals.

- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the R&D team.

- Maintain technical documentation, project timelines, and ensure knowledge transfer to manufacturing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Ph.D./M.Tech/M.Sc in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science.

- Minimum 15 years of R&D experience, preferably in the adhesives, polymers, or specialty chemicals industry.

- Proven track record of successful new product launches in adhesives for segments like construction, footwear, packaging, or automotive.

- Strong understanding of adhesion mechanisms, polymer chemistry, formulation science, and lab/pilot/plant scale transitions.

- Familiar with Indian regulatory frameworks BIS, CPCB, RoHS, and ISO certifications.

- Excellent leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
