Position : Head - R&D and Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

- Formulation Development: Creating and testing new cosmetic formulations, including makeup, skincare, and hair care products.

- Raw Material Research: Investigating and selecting appropriate raw materials and active ingredients.

- Product Testing: Conducting stability, safety, and efficacy tests on cosmetic products.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring products meet relevant cosmetic regulations and safety standards.

- Innovation: Developing new technologies and approaches to cosmetic product development.

- Production Management:

- Developing and implementing production schedules and workflows to meet demand and optimize efficiency.

- Monitoring production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.

- Ensuring the availability of raw materials, equipment, and other resources.

- Overseeing bulk production, filling, packing, and logistics operations.

- Quality Control:

- Establishing and maintaining quality control programs to ensure products meet established standards.

- Monitoring product quality throughout the production process.

- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

- Team Management:

- Supervising and motivating production teams.

- Identifying training needs and providing guidance to team members.

- Fostering a positive and productive work environment.

- Continuous Improvement:

- Identifying areas for improvement in production processes and efficiency.

- Implementing changes to optimize production costs and enhance product quality.

- Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

- Safety and Compliance:

- Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and protocols.

- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

- Ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.

- Other Responsibilities:

- Collaborating with other departments, such as R&D, marketing, and sales, to ensure smooth operations.

- Contributing to the development and execution of operational strategies.

- Managing budgets and resources effectively.

Desired Profile :

- B.E. (Chemical) with 15+ years of experience in cosmetic manufacturing, with progressive managerial responsibilities.

- Experience working in Africa is MUST, preferably in DR Congo

- Strong understanding of cosmetic manufacturing processes, including formulation, filling, packaging, and quality control.

- Ability to motivate and manage teams, delegate tasks, and provide constructive feedback.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with various teams and stakeholders

- Familiarity with relevant cosmetic regulations and standards, such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
