Qualification:

- B.E or B.Tech in production/ mechanical engineering M tech/ MBA(preferable)

Experience:

- 12-20 years of industry experience in the area of New Product Development in Auto Chains

Knowledge & Skills:

- Understanding of Auto Chains and manufacturing processes

- Knowledge and experience of new product development process in the auto industry

Job Description

- Participate in negotiations with machine/ equipment vendors to ensure effective rates

- Ensure adherence to the departmental budget for NPD activities

- Lead interactions with the After Markets Team to ensure robust understanding of needs and execution of projects to meet customer requirements and establish good working relations

- Lead interaction with internal departments who are a part of the CFT, for any queries/ issue faced w.r.t conduct of feasibility study, execution of project, technical specifications of customers etc.

- Determine project phases, time and cost parameters and assess risks in order to plan for project implementation

- Responsible for preparation of Project activity plan (drawing freeze, manufacturing design, material procurement etc.) in coordination with subordinates

- Review 2D/ 3D design preparation by Design team for ensuring adherence with technical specifications and requirements as communicated by the customer

- Drive capability building and development of high potential talent within the Engineering team

- Nominate subordinates actively for the people development initiatives like trainings, workshops across the organization etc.

- Ensure timely completion of all stages of Performance Appraisal Process
