Head - Underground Coal Mining Operations (20-28 yrs)
Role & responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Define and execute long-term strategies for underground coal mining operations in alignment with the company's business objectives.
Operational Excellence: Lead and oversee end-to-end underground coal mining operations across multiple project sites, ensuring seamless coordination and high productivity.
Technology & Innovation: Spearhead the implementation and optimization of advanced mining technologies to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
Performance Management: Drive operational performance across productivity, safety, project scheduling, and cost-efficiency parameters.
Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with OEMs, DGMS, and other regulatory bodies to ensure full statutory compliance while fostering innovation in operations.
Equipment Management: Evaluate equipment performance, recommend upgrades, and work with OEMs for customization and localization to meet operational needs.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive plans for mine development, equipment utilization, and workforce deployment to achieve strategic business goals.
Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead high-performing technical and operational teams across multiple locations.
Financial Accountability: Prepare and manage operational budgets, optimize resource allocation, and deliver the targeted P&L outcomes for the business segment.
Preferred candidate profile
Experience: 20 to 25 years in underground coal mining having a First Class Mines Manager Certificate in Coal, with proven expertise
Education: BE/ B. Tech in Mining Engineering
Skills:
- Deep understanding of Indian coal mining regulations and safety standards
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Strategic thinking with hands-on operational insight
