Heat Treatment Technologist (15-25 yrs)
- We are seeking an experienced Heat Treatment Technologist with deep expertise in steel foundry heat treatment operations. The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of complete HT processes and the ability to develop new heat treatment cycles to achieve customer-specified mechanical properties.
- The role requires strong command over metallurgy, various steel chemistries, furnace operation, quenching techniques, and process control systems.
- The candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating the effective utilization of multiple HT furnaces, ensuring thermal uniformity, maintaining quenching efficiency, and ensuring all treated castings meet the required hardness, strength, toughness, and microstructural standards. The role involves maintaining end-to-end documentation, customer compliance, and regular coordination for process audits by clients and external agencies.
- The Heat Treatment Technologist will lead process discipline, establish statistical process control (SPC), maintain QC charts, and continuously monitor metallurgical parameters to ensure consistency and repeatability.
- Responsibilities also include conducting metallurgical checks, verifying process adherence, optimizing cycle parameters, and ensuring consistent production quality in a cost-effective manner. Strong analytical skills, deep technical knowledge, and leadership in HT shop operations are essential.
