We are looking for an experienced Honing Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain honing machines for high-quality machining of components. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with CNC and manual honing machines, tool selection, and quality management.

Key Responsibilities:

1 Prepare the honing machine for operation by installing the correct honing tools, adjusting offsets, and aligning workpieces.

2 Create or modify CNC programs, or manually set machine parameters, including tool paths, feeds, speeds, and other settings for the honing process.

3 Select appropriate honing tools, such as abrasive stones or diamond-plated tools, based on the material and size of the workpiece.

4 Manage coolant flow and pressure to control heat, remove chips, and ensure high-quality finished surfaces.

5 Monitor the honing process, identify issues such as tool wear, insufficient material removal, or surface defects, and take corrective action.

6 Maintain records of work, perform routine maintenance, and ensure the machine is clean and in good working condition.

Qualifications & Skills:

1 Diploma, ITI, or relevant experience in Mechanical / Tool & Die / CNC Machining.

2 5- 15 years experience operating honing machines (CNC and/or manual).

3 Knowledge of honing tools, cutting parameters, and quality inspection instruments.

4 Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments during operation.

5 Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

Work Environment:

1 Manufacturing/production floor with strict adherence to safety protocols.

2 Standing for long periods and handling heavy workpieces may be required.
