Job role Summary:

- We are seeking a creative, technically proficient and professionally driven HVAC engineer to join our Nagpur office. The ideal candidate will help conceptualize, develop, and execute HVAC designs for commercial, hospitality, residential, and mixed-use projects. You will collaborate with internal design teams, engineers, and external stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet project goals on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Project Development

- Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed HVAC designs that align with client requirements & codes

- Perform heat load calculations, system sizing, basic psychrometric, airflow & air balance calcs.

- Produce duct/piping layouts, equipment schedules, and details and notes in Revit MEP/AutoCAD.

- Interpret/prepare mechanical plans, uphold drawing standards.

- Coordinate with Architecture, Structural and MEP disciplines; support BIM clash reviews (BIM 360, Navisworks).

- Assist with submittals/RFIs, site coordination, and design clarifications.

- Manage deliverables across concurrent projects.

YOUR DESIGN PARTNER

Project Management

- Oversee projects through all design phases - from concept to construction documentation and delivery.

- Conduct code compliance and Quality control through company standard operating procedures.

- Prepare and review technical specifications, schedules, and compliance.

Innovation & Technology

- Utilize advanced design technology (e.g., Revit, BIM workflows, DFMA design)

- Contribute to the adoption of efficient design processes that support BASE4's focus on fast, cost effective solutions

Teamwork & Leadership

- Mentor junior engineers and interns where applicable.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across global offices

- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation

Software & Tools:

- Revit MEP, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Navisworks, McQuay, Trane TRACE 700.

Preferred:

- Experience working on international projects with BIM workflows and collaborative design coordination.

- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, International Mechanical Code (IMC), Energy codes

- Exposure to hospitality, residential, or commercial projects

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized institution

- 1- 2 years of professional experience in HVAC design, preferably within commercial or hospitality projects.

- Ability to read and prepare plans, schematics and perform core HVAC calculations.

- General code knowledge
