Position: Solar Project Engineer

Location: Greater Noida, UP (On-site)

About ICCPL:

ICCPL is a nimble, pre-revenue Independent Power Producer backed by strategic investors and executing 700 MW+ of farmer-powered solar projects under PM- KUSUM A/C. We combine startup-speed agility with infrastructure-grade rigor to deliver bankable, community-driven solar assets.

Why This Role Matters:

You will own the technical delivery on the ground- overseeing civils, electrical commissioning, quality, HSE and schedule management to transform GA drawings into bankable, community-powered solar assets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Engineering & Quality Control

- Interpret and validate GA drawings, single-line diagrams & BoQs on site

- Supervise civils: earthworks, drainage, foundations & module-racking erection

- Conduct module/inverter/transformer FAT, PAT & dimensional checks

2. SCADA Commissioning & Testing

- Install and configure RTUs/PLCs, fibre-optic cabling and telemetry links

- Lead insulation resistance, polarity, string I-V curves and grid-synchronization trials

3. HSE & QA Management

- Deliver site inductions; enforce PPE and environmental safeguards

- Coordinate 3rd-party QA audits at 50% and 100% construction milestones

4. Schedule & Cost Tracking

- Maintain detailed MS Project/Primavera schedules; escalate delays proactively

- Track POs, invoices and labor costs; report variances against budget

5. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

- Liaise with vendors, customs brokers and EPC contractors for timely equipment delivery

 - Issue daily work orders, verify progress logs and contractor billings

6. Reporting & Documentation

- Produce weekly dashboards: % progress, punch-list status and NCRs

- Archive as-built drawings, HOTO manuals, and commissioning certificates in the data room

Candidate Profile:

Education:

- B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Renewable Energy Engineering

- Preferred: M.Tech/PG Diploma in Solar Energy or Power Systems

Experience - 4- 6 years on ground-mount solar projects (10- 50 MW+) in EPC or IPP roles

Technical Skills:

- MS Project or Primavera P6 for scheduling

- AutoCAD for red-lining drawings

- Excel for cost and schedule analysis

- Field-test instruments (megger, clamp ammeter, thermal camera)

Domain Knowledge:

- PM- KUSUM A processes (LOA, PPA annexes)

- SCADA platforms and commissioning best practices

Soft Skills:

- Strong communication and stakeholder management

- Proactive problem-solving and high attention to detail
