Impactiva - Senior Lean Specialist - Transformation Projects (13-18 yrs)

Senior Lean Specialist

Technical Knowledge :

- Bachelor's degree (industrial engineering or manufacturing systems is preferred)

- Extensive experience practicing lean :

- At least 30 projects (Kaizen events) executed in a factory environment is a must (in footwear, apparel, electronics, consumer products, preferably in a high labor content industry) and

- In the development-commercialization-engineering-industrialization departments of a consumer products brand / retailer is a plus

- +12 years executing Lean transformation projects

- +5 years- experience in leading a Team of Consultants in Lean transformation projects

- Experience in leading more than 3 long term (-1 year) Lean transformation projects

- 5 years as an external consultant

- Experience working in emerging countries and the cultural nuances that exist

- Ability to convince/transform client management to support program and program goals

- Self-motivated and ability to be self-led as will mostly work without supervision

- Team player using consensus decision making

- Self-confidence to manage pressure from nervous factory top management

- Adaptability: ability to accept new/different work methods regardless of how radically different they are to past experiences

- The energy and enthusiasm to want to transform an industry and willingness to spend time in harsh factory environments to achieve this end-goal

Professional Skills :

- Lean Black Belt and/or Master Black Belt certifications

- Knowledge of TOC, SMED, SWI, Heijunka, Kanban, VSM, Kaizen, PDCA, RCA, etc.

- Ability to use excel to model financial savings with payback and ROI calculations for entire programs and individual Kaizen events (able to demonstrate at least 5 examples of before and after financial savings achieved in Lean transformation projects)

- Excellent public relations skills

- Experience in change leadership transformation / coaching (a plus)

- Change leadership coaching certification (a plus)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent quantitative and analytic skills

- Very good written and spoken English

- Excellent computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint

Other Conditions :

- Reporting to : PO Business Unit Leader

- Location : Dongguan, China (can live in HK if desired)

- Travel : +75% required (until PO Specialists are fully skills trained)

- Commitment : 3 year contract, 2 year non-compete and confidentiality contract

- Probationary Period : 6 months
