Incharge - Assembly & Heat Treatment (11-17 yrs)

Job Description:
1. Production Planning & Execution
- Plan daily and weekly trolley assembly schedules.
- Ensure availability of components (wheels, axles, gearboxes, motors, brakes, drums, etc.).
- Coordinate with stores, fabrication, machining, and QC departments.
- Monitor assembly progress to meet dispatch targets.
- Heat treatment and Stress reliving of components as per requirement
2. Trolley Assembly Supervision
- Supervise complete trolley assembly including:
- Trolley frame alignment
- Wheel & axle assembly
- Travel drive installation
- Hoist drum and gearbox mounting
- Wire rope reeving
- Brake and motor alignment
- Ensure correct rail gauge and wheel base dimensions.
- Verify shaft alignment and coupling tolerances.
- Monitor torque tightening as per specification.
3. Quality Control & Inspection
- Ensure assembly as per approved GA and assembly drawings.
- Check:
- Wheel alignment & parallelism
- Drum alignment & rope spooling
- Brake setting & clearance
- Gearbox oil filling
- Coordinate with QC for stage and final inspection.
- Ensure readiness for load testing (100% & 125% test).
4. Safety Management
- Enforce PPE compliance.
- Conduct toolbox talks.
- Ensure safe lifting during hoist installation.
- Implement lockout/tagout during electrical work.
- Prevent unsafe practices during load testing.
5. Testing & Commissioning Support
- Supervise no-load and load trials.
- Identify and rectify vibration, misalignment, or brake issues.
- Support site team for troubleshooting if required.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain assembly checklists.
- Record torque reports and inspection logs.
- Update daily production status.
- Track rework and corrective actions.
- Maintain manpower attendance & productivity data.
