Industrial Design - Horizontal Centrifugal Pumps (14-18 yrs)
Education : BE/B.Tech only

Job Description :
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Work on Product design and development activities and Order related activities.
- Develop innovative and cost effective mechanical designs using plant standard procedures, engineering knowledge and experience.
- Performing related engineering calculations for day-to-day activities and long term projects
- Review customer specification, analyze engineering requirement and propose engineered solutions.
- Working with Design and Manufacturing Engineers, following the manufacturing and assembling process, employ problem solving skills to resolve issues encountered.
- Creation of 3D models, assemblies, drawings and BOM using Inventor, Solidworks, Autocad, SAP and e-pdm, Vault.
- Creation of P&IDs, GAs, fabrication drawings, bills of material
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- Proper documentation of all work
- Work independently or as a team member in the global engineering team
- Interactions with global engineering teams.
- Liaise with production plant during build process
- Engineering change management with internal departments
- Responsible for the Metrics and project management activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :
- BE degree in Mechanical Engineering with 12-15 years post graduate related working experience
- A thorough knowledge of machine design, fluid mechanics, vibration, strength of material, metallurgy, ASME codes, manufacturing processes, API 610.
- Experience/knowledge on pumps for Industrial applications fire water applications, Instrumentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills for communicating thoughts and ideas
- Knowledge of design software (Autocad, Inventor, Solidworks) and ERP systems.
