Industrial Engineer - EV HDT Application (8-10 yrs)

- As a Industrial Engineer for EV Heavy Duty Truck Application, you will be responsible for putting pre-production level vehicles together either in the engineering workshop or low-speed production line.

What you will do :

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure that pre-production assembly processes meet all relevant specifications and requirements

- Developing and implementing new assembly processes, and optimizing existing processes, to improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency

- Procuring material handling equipment and designing jigs and fixtures for the assembly process

- Developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the pre-production assembly process, and ensuring that they are followed consistently

- Developing and maintaining assembly metrics, and using data analytics to monitor and continuously improve assembly performance

- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen, to eliminate waste and improve efficiency

- Working closely with the engineering team to ensure that pre-production assembly processes are designed for manufacturability & assembly and that new products are launched smoothly into production

- Providing technical support to pre-production assembly teams, and ensuring that they are trained to follow best practices for assembly processes

- Collaborating with suppliers and vendors to optimize supply chain processes, and ensuring that they meet our high standards for quality and efficiency

- Being a safety leader and role model for the team

- Participating and leading safety programs and initiatives

What you need to have :

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred

- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in industrial engineering, preferably in the automotive or heavy-duty truck industry

- Ability to develop a truck or bus program & participate in its evolution from Proto to series production

- Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles and tools, such as time and motion studies, process improvement methodologies, and data analytics

- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies

- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment, including CNC machining, welding, and assembly

- Familiarity with supply chain processes, including sourcing, procurement, and logistics

- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results on time and on budget
