Installation/Operation Manager - Oil & Gas Industry (15-25 yrs)

1. Job Purpose :

- To ensure safe and secure operations of the Depot for overall profitability

- Statutory and Safety compliance of the location

- Ensuring adherence to safety and security guidelines.

- Ensuring timely availability of various resources and consumables at the location

- Close monitoring of location performance wrt TAT in loading, Quality & Quantity Assurances, other operating parameters etc and ensuring timely actions for required corrective actions.

- Ensuring timely replenishment of stocks

- Inculcate safety culture among Depot Operation team, Transporter and TT Crew

- Ensuring actions to keep transit as well as operating losses under control.

- To achieve Operational Excellence and NIL LTA

Activities :


1 To meet full Demand - Ensuring uptime of facilities and its optimal operation

2 Logistics Management - Ensuring proper utilisation of TTs and assessing additional requirement of TTs for timely augmentation of fleet.

3 Statutory and Safety Compliances - Timely filing of returns/renewals

- Use of Proper PPEs and safety compliance as per HSEF policy

- Ensuring timely attendance of observations during audit and inspection of depots.

4 Ensuring timely availability of consumables and various equipment at location - Coordinating with concerned departments for timely replenishment

5 Inculcate Safety Culture - To drive safety culture among Depot Staffs : To encourage Transporters and TT crews in driving safety in their acts

6 Optimisation of Stock Losses 


a) To monitor and analyse transit losses and ensure timely actions for corrective actions to minimise

b) To monitor and analyse storage and operational losses and ensure timely actions for corrective actions to minimise

7 Emergency Preparedness/Handling - Ensure preparedness for handling emergencies at all time.

1. Engineering Graduate preferably with degree/diploma in Operations Management

B. Relevant (Functional/Level) & Total Years of Experience:

Relevant Experience: Minimum 15 years with five years of functional experience in Oil

Industry in operating petroleum handling depot/terminal/port facilities

C. Functional Skills : 

1. Knowledge of supply sources viz. Refinery/TOPs/Depots/Terminals of Indian Oil Industry and geographical spread of India.

2. SAP SD and MM module

3. Awareness of Oil Industry Manuals/Guidelines wrt quality, quantity like IQCM,OISD, MDG, TDG

4. Awareness of Statutory Requirements/Railways Operation/Commercial Rules relevant to Oil Industry
