Job Description:

To support, coordinate and lead Instrument technicians in day-to-day maintenance support activities.

To provide a lead role and mentoring the team using Root Cause Analysis techniques for failed equipment.

To develop maintenance strategies and development of procedures for new projects and equipment installations - this includes performing criticality assessments, maintenance strategy reviews and spares determination for new or upgraded equipment.

To identify, develop or adjust existing maintenance support strategies and procedures for increased reliability of the predictive & preventative maintenance tasks.

To provide or arranging training for technicians on Instrument Equipment's and newly installed/upgraded systems.

To take a lead or participate in major investigations of failed equipment's or systems.

To have working experience at an engineering level with Control & Instrumentation systems including:

- Field instrumentation and devices

- PLC Controls and DCS systems control system interfaces. ( Preferably hands on experience on Allen Bradley, Siemens, Eurotherm PLC and Foxboro DCS)

- Well versed with ladder logic, step logic and sequential language .

- Safeguard systems

- Pneumatic controls

- Condition monitoring systems

- Vibration monitoring system

- Systems design

- Plant Information Management System

- Knowledge of Calibrations of all field Instruments and knowledge of ISO10012

Candidate Profile:

Minimum Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation with 5 Years of experience or Diploma in Instrument Engineering with 10 Years of work experience. Work experience should be in operation / maintenance support to Continuous Process Plant control & instrumentation systems.

Incumbents must have experience in programming and configuring modern control systems including DCS/PLC/SCADA systems

Qualification & Experience: BE / B.Tech Instrumentation Engineering and having 15 years of work experience in petrochemical industries or refineries.
