Instrumentation Engineer (BoPP)

- Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the instrumentation and control systems that ensure the efficient and safe operation of the BoPP film production process. Selecting and specifying instruments, developing control strategies, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Designing and selecting appropriate instruments for measuring parameters like pressure, temperature, flow, level, and thickness in the BoPP film manufacturing process.

- Preparing instrument datasheets, including specifications for sensors, transmitters, control valves, and other related equipment.

- Performing instrument sizing calculations to ensure proper functionality and reliability.

- Developing instrument design philosophies and basis of design documents.

- Designing and implementing control systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

- Configuring input/output (I/O) points to ensure proper communication between field instruments and control systems.

- Developing and implementing control logic for various processes within the BoPP film production line.

- Overseeing the installation of instrumentation and control systems, ensuring proper wiring, signal conditioning, and grounding.

- Conducting calibration, testing, and commissioning of instruments to verify accuracy and functionality.

- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to instrumentation and control systems.

- Performing routine maintenance on existing instrumentation and control systems.

- Developing and implementing preventative maintenance schedules.

- Analyzing system performance data and suggesting modifications to optimize efficiency and reliability.

- Ensuring that all instrumentation and control systems comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

- Developing and implementing safety instrumented systems (SIS) for critical safety functions.

- Conducting Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP) and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments.

- Preparing technical documentation, including specifications, datasheets, loop diagrams, and as-built drawings.

- Maintaining accurate records of instrument calibration, maintenance activities, and modifications.

- Generating reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.

- Collaborating with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, process, etc.) to ensure the seamless integration of instrumentation and control systems.

- Communicating technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Working with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary equipment and services.

Qualification And Experience:

1. BE in Instrumentation with 4-8 Years of experience in BOPP Manufacturing and Strong understanding of physics, engineering principles, and data management.

2. Proficiency in instrumentation design, selection, and specification.

3. Experience with control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and SCADA.

4. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, ISA).

5. Proficiency in using CAD software for instrumentation design.

6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
