Job Description - Design Engineer (PEB / Structural Steel)
Job Summary
The Design Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, design, and detailing of Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings (PEB) and structural steel structures in compliance with project requirements and standards. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and design of Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and structural steel structures using STAAD.Pro Connect Edition.
- Prepare accurate estimations of steel quantities, including primary and secondary members, and sheeting.
- Develop design sketches, detailed design calculations, and supporting documentation for various building components.
- Execute connection designs in line with applicable standards and project specifications.
- Review and check approval drawings to ensure compliance with design intent and structural requirements.
- Coordinate with detailing and drafting teams for seamless integration of designs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in design processes and tools.
Qualifications & Experience
- M.Tech in Structural Engineering.
- 5- 8 years of relevant experience in PEB and/or Structural Steel design.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior PEB design experience.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in STAAD.Pro Connect Edition, MS Office, and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of design codes and standards.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and team collaboration skills.
