We are looking to hire for the position of Thermal Engineering Head at kWh Motors (EV).

Requirements

Position: Thermal Engineering Head at kWh Motors (EV)

Location: Bengaluru

Education: BE / B.Tech

Work experience: 5+ years of experience in designing Thermal Solutions for EVs

Experience in building thermal solutions for EV, Battery Packs and ECUs

Highly skilled in CAD design and thermal simulation softwares like ANSYS or STAR CCM

Highly driven and self-motivated

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Primary Responsibilities

Design, engineer and optimize thermal management solutions, using active or passive cooling mechanisms for hotspots in electric vehicle, battery packs and controllers

Determine hotspots in the vehicle for different vehicle performance parameters

Perform 3D Thermal and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis simulations on system, subsystem and component level

Design and implement efficient flow channels to maintain a permissible temperature in the vehicle

Post process and report thermal simulation results to guide vehicle design

Optimize for pressure loss and heat dissipation while maintaining weight and cost constraints

Reduce 3D model to more easily understandable 1D model for quick iterations

Interact with relevant teams to meet their thermal requirements

Create detailed reports for material selection, output parameters and thermal efficiency and maintain a structured documentation process

Work on validation, testing and certification of all elements that are subject to temperature fluctuation
