Lab Manager - Polymer (15-18 yrs)
Lab Manager (Graduate in Mechanical, Polymer Engineering /B. Tech. or PGD-CIPET or M.Sc.- Polymer)
Job duties & responsibilities :
- Knowledge of polymer material and component testing as per international and OEM specification.
- Depth knowledge and hand on experience of DSC,TGA, FTIR, UTM, MFI, Physical and mechanical testing of Rubber ,Plastic raw material and component Testing, vibration and Environmental testing, durability endurance testing.
- Knowledge of ISO 17025:2017 and audit experience of NABL,OEMs.
- Handle the lab operation and team building activity.
- Provide technical support to team and address technical, operational issues to ensure lab delays are at minimum.
- Review of the validation data, calibration of all instruments plan schedule for calibration & preventive maintenance of instruments
- Comply and ensure implementation of the company's and the customer's Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Process requirements.
- Responsible for corrective actions and root cause analysis wherever required.
- Responsible for review and approval of final test report .
- Responsible for training of new employees, existing staff on testing, internal calibration, preventive maintenance & safety.
- Support quality related issues to quality Assurance.
- Review that tests are performed as per the correct method.
- Responsible for purchase, installation of new machines/equipment related to Lab.
- Deliver accurate results on time, within committed TAT.
- Set in place SOPs to ensure that services Operations are run in a professional manner.
- Ensure up-keep of all instruments through regular service cycles/AMC's
- Identify, initiate, evaluate training activities for lab staff.
- Analytical and conceptual mindset.
- Reliable, independent and service oriented approach to work.
- Excellent communication skills, good team worker.
- Responsible to manage teams of 20 to 25 staff.
- To support the expansion of scope in analytical methods to meet market requirements and to address new business opportunities.
