The Job

You will be responsible for :

- Ensuring effective and efficient maintenance services of electrical and field instruments and resolving any electrical and instrumentation issues.

- Ensuring electrical and instrument maintenance as per best practice, corporate policy and regulatory requirements.

- Acting as a first point of contact for complex repairs and working closely with vendors to address and resolve technical issues.

Design and Development:

- Creating software solutions using LabVIEW to meet specific engineering needs, often involving complex systems and automation.

Integration:

- Integrating LabVIEW applications with hardware, software, and other systems.

Testing and Validation:

- Ensuring the developed software functions correctly and meets performance requirements.

Documentation:

- Preparing user manuals, technical documentation, and other relevant materials.

Troubleshooting and Support:

- Addressing technical issues and providing support for LabVIEW applications.

Collaboration:

- Working closely with other engineers and technicians to understand requirements and collaborate on projects.

Optimization:

- Optimizing LabVIEW code for performance and efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications:

LabVIEW Proficiency:

Strong knowledge of the LabVIEW programming environment and its various modules (e.g., DAQ, machine vision, motion control).

Hardware Integration:

Experience with integrating LabVIEW applications with various hardware devices and systems.

Software Development:

Experience with software development principles, testing, and debugging.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.

Communication:

Effective communication skills to collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders.

Other Relevant Skills:

Knowledge of electronics, automation, data acquisition, and related fields may be beneficial.

Example Job Duties:

- Developing custom LabVIEW applications for data acquisition and instrument control.

- Creating user interfaces for monitoring and controlling industrial processes.

- Integrating LabVIEW with other software systems, such as databases and cloud platforms.

- Developing and testing software for robotic systems, automation equipment, or test and measurement equipment.

Ideal Candidate

- You have at least 1 year hands-on experience in a similar role in Industrial.

- You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard

- You enjoy finding creative solutions to problems

- You are highly goal driven and work well in fast paced environments

- You are willing to undertake 0-30% travel, if required.
