Lead Civil/Structural Engineer - Energy & Power Industry (10-25 yrs)

Work Location:- Sector-3, Noida
Job Description:
The position will be based in Noida India. We are seeking an experienced lead civil/structural engineer who can act as a senior figure within the design team. You will be leading the structural design team; designing the metallic structures related to Power Generation plants in accordance with applicable standards and contract requirements, using relevant Aveva PDMS/E3D module(For 3D modeling) and detailing using Tekla structure / Revit.
Responsibilities:
- Generate / Review 3D models of steel structures and foundations
- Verification of interferences (Clash check)
Create/ Review calculations and drawings within the Structural engineering team as follows:
- Overall project / site Layouts and plot plans
- Structural elevation and plans and sectional drawings
- Roof framing and arrangement drawings
- Foundation arrangement with loading details
- Detailed structural fabrication drawings showing details for fabs (Joint welding details, Riveting details etc.)
- Anchor bolt drawings
- Concrete, steel standard drawings (Platforms, supports etc)
- Material take off
- Perform structural analysis using software's like STTAD Pro and design calculations for statutory approvals
- Calculation of foundation loads
- Design verification of pipe racks
- Ability to manage Civil, Structural and architectural functions in power plants
- Inter disciplinary interaction
- To lead a team of designers and junior engineers
Requirements :
- Degree in Civil Engineering with 10 years experience in power generation industry as a structural design engineer / lead
- Extensive knowledge in engineering codes like ASTM / EN for steel structures
- Experience in using various internationals codes and standards like UBC, ASCE or EN
- Partake in processes and talks with clients in regards to the component installations/ filed issues
- Experience in BIM (Building information modeling) methodology /Modular building design/PEMBs/ Green building design concepts
