Lead Engineer - Automobile Parts Design (6-10 yrs)

2) Reporting to : Sr. Manager Team Handling, Individual Contributor

3) Educational Qualification : B.E/ B Tech in Electrical or Mechanical

4) Age : 


Minimum : 20 Years 


Maximum : 33 Years

5) Experience :


Minimum : 6 Years 


Maximum : 10 Years

Preferred Industry Background : Automobile

Preferred Exposure :

- Current and upcoming regulatory requirements and their compliance

- Exposure/ awareness to global regulatory authorities and other associations who formulate regulations for automotive lighting

6) Job Responsibilities :


- Design lighting system and parts like headlamp, rear lamp, indicator lamps etc. as per performance/ quality/ cost/ weight targets and plants manufacturing requirement

- Feasibility check on styling sketches in early stage of project development, feedback design requirements to styling team

- Discuss with the Electronics team and define the interface requirement clearly

- Layout and packaging of parts in vehicle DMU from concept stage and finalize considering all aspects of functionality and manufacturability

- Conduct DR, FMEA (system/ design) and apply all such tools in the design phase

- Define performance and reliability test parameters, procedures for such parts

- Keep track of global trends in relevant technology, regulations and develop long term road maps and appropriate work plan

- Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight

- Root cause analysis for quality issues using QC tools and countermeasure action

- Define the overall activity schedule for all projects, monitor the same periodically and take appropriate action to ensure targeted deliveries
