Lead Engineer - Vehicle Validation - Commercial Vehicles/EV & ICE (9-18 yrs)
A leading automotive R&D and vehicle development organization is hiring a senior Validation Lead for Commercial Vehicle programs across EV and ICE platforms. The role owns end-to-end vehicle validation, durability, DVP execution, concern management, and gateway releases from development through post-launch. This is a high-ownership role interfacing with cross-functional engineering teams and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Own complete vehicle validation lifecycle including DVP, durability, and gateway clearances
- Lead DFMEA coordination, benchmarking, and cross-functional validation reviews
- Drive concern management, root cause analysis, revalidation, and closures
- Manage ESO / Pre-ESO releases, regulatory documentation, and critical sign-offs
- Lead post-launch field feedback analysis and lessons learnt deployment
- Own validation MIS, management reviews, and budget planning / tracking
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10- 17 years of experience in automotive R&D, vehicle testing, or validation
- Strong exposure to commercial vehicle programs (CV preferred)
- Hands-on experience with validation, durability, DVP, and gateway processes
- EV / alternate fuel technology exposure strongly preferred
- Ability to drive cross-functional teams and take independent engineering decisions
- Willingness to be Pune-based with frequent field and test-track travel
