Lead Hardware - EV Charger Development (9-15 yrs)

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the hardware design and architecture for 48V/60V EV chargers, with deep focus on 3 kW systems

- Own the development of high-voltage DC-DC converters ensuring efficiency, reliability, and regulatory compliance

- Design IP68-compliant rugged hardware for on-road and offboard applications

- Define and oversee implementation of hardware protection (OCP, OVP, OTP), isolation, and EMI/EMC filtering

- Perform critical design reviews, guide PCB layout for high-voltage systems (creepage/clearance, thermal), and support EMI mitigation

- Work closely with mechanical, thermal, and firmware teams for seamless integration

- Manage vendor interactions, component selections, and certification processes

- Provide technical leadership to junior engineers and act as a subject matter expert in hardware design

- Support product validation, certification testing, and field failure analysis

Technical Skills & Requirements:

- 10- 15 years of hands-on experience in power electronics hardware, specifically EV charger design

- In-depth knowledge of DC-DC topologies: LLC, Full-Bridge, Half-Bridge, Synchronous Buck

- Proven experience with Si/SiC MOSFETs, IGBTs, isolated gate drivers, and current sensing techniques

- Strong design skills for 48V/60V systems.

- Expertise in IP68 design, ruggedization techniques, and environmental sealing

- Strong command of EMI/EMC design and mitigation strategies

- Tools: Altium Designer, OrCAD, LTSpice, PSpice, thermal simulation software

- Experience with CAN, UART, and BMS integration

- Excellent analytical, debugging, and documentation skills

- Prior work with mass production and field deployment in EV domain
