Lead - Last Mile (6-12 yrs)
About the Role:
Lead our last-mile delivery network starting with Mumbai, ensuring on-time retailer fulfillment while optimizing routes, fleet, and field teams. Drive Delivery App adoption and excellence in customer-facing logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute route planning, fleet utilization, and achieve on-time delivery performance.
2. Lead Delivery App rollout and track adoption/on-time uplift metrics.
3. Conduct departmental audits and drive team recognition programs.
4. Mentor Last Mile Executives and field staff for efficiency and retailer throughputs.
5. Take a hands on approach to hiring/arranging field staff with in-house recruiter/agencies to ensure 100% deployment while reducing bench staff.
6. Collaborate with Warehousing Head for seamless handoffs.
Requirements:
1. 8+ years in last-mile logistics or delivery operations (FMCG preferred) managing large teams of 250-500 field personnel.
2. Experience with route optimization tools and mobile app adoption.
3. Strong field team leadership and performance management skills.
4. Analytical mindset with focus on cost and service KPIs.
