Lead Quality Assurance Engineer - PCB Testing (5-9 yrs)

Job Description :


As the lead of QC (Quality Control) and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) Testing, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of quality control and testing activities related to PCBs within the organization. You will lead a team of QC technicians and testing engineers, ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards and comply with industry regulations. Your role will involve developing and implementing quality control processes, managing testing procedures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective PCB testing.

Duties And Responsibilities :


1 Create and implement quality control methods and practises for PCB testing, making sure they comply with industry norms, client demands, and legal requirements.

2 Lead and manage a group of QC technicians and testing engineers, offering direction, instruction, and performance evaluation to guarantee high-quality output

3 To track the efficacy of testing methods and pinpoint areas for improvement, establish and maintain quality control metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

4 Work with cross-functional teams to identify quality control requirements and address any quality issues, including design engineers, production managers, and procurement teams.

5 Control the testing and inspection of PCBs throughout the production process to make sure they adhere to the specifications, functional requirements, and performance standards

6 Create and implement functional, performance, reliability, and environmental PCB testing plans, procedures, and techniques.

7 To resolve quality issues and guarantee continual improvement, conduct root cause analysis and put corrective
and preventive measures into place.

8 Fixing any issues or defects found during testing by debugging and troubleshooting. Make proposals for methods
to improve the design or manufacturing process by identifying problems, analysing failures, and using your
technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

9 Manage and maintain testing instruments, software, and hardware, making sure they are functional and
calibrated for precise test results.

10 Monitor and track the progress of PCB testing activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project schedules and deadlines

11 Prepare and present reports, summaries, and analysis of quality control and testing activities to senior management, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations

Skills Required :

1 Proven experience in quality control and testing of PCBs, preferably in a manufacturing or electronics industry

2 Strong knowledge of PCB design principles, manufacturing processes, and testing methodologies

3 Experience in managing and leading a team of technicians and engineers in a quality control or testing environment.

4 Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to PCB manufacturing and testing (e.g., IPC standards).

5 Proficiency in using testing equipment, tools, and software for PCB testing, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and
automated testing systems.

6 Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement
corrective actions

7 Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple
projects simultaneously.

8 Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present information to stakeholders

9 Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
