Looking for expert in Import (Sea/Air Freight) logistics with in depth experience of custom clearance, CHA, Forwarder operation along with good understanding on nuances involved in materials procurement in cosmetic industry,

Skills & Knowledge:

- Worked on SAP system (Not Mandatory but good to have)

- Proficient in Word / Excel

- Post graduate diploma in procurement / operations management would be an advantage

- Expertise in Global Logistics (Sea/Air Freight) along with custom clearance expertise

- Basic know-how of taxation & duty structure

- Knowledge of All safety Protocols relevant to Logistics

- Knowledge of Import logistics

- Strong negotiation skills

- Excellent strategic and analytical skills

- Good team skills and a cooperative mindset

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

I. Logistics Management: Oversee the end-to-end logistics operations for importing raw and packaging materials from multiple countries and exporting finished goods to various international markets.

II. Customs Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to customs regulations, including the preparation and management of all necessary customs documentation.

III. Customs Duty Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of customs duties, tariffs, and trade agreements to optimize cost-effectiveness and compliance.

IV. Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with international suppliers to streamline material procurement processes, monitor lead times, and maintain efficient inventory levels.

V. Freight Forwarder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.

VI. Clearing Agent Management: Manage clearing agents efficiently, facilitating smooth customs clearance procedures and minimizing delays.

VII. Supply Chain Optimization: Continuously work to optimize supply chain processes, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency

VIII. Inventory Control: Implement inventory control measures to minimize holding costs while ensuring the availability of raw materials and packaging supplies as needed.

IX. Regulatory Knowledge: Stay updated on import and export regulations, trade compliance, and international trade laws to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.

X. Documentation Accuracy: Ensure accuracy and completeness of all import and export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
