Role : Logistics Manager
Key Responsibilities :
- Work closely with the leadership team to devise and implement the logistics strategy
- Assume responsibility to deliver key logistics KPIs and SLAs - both domestic and international shipments
- Handle a team of 10+ executives to build a rock-solid logistics team
- Set-up and institutionalize SOPs, ensure strong compliance with SOPs and partner in continuous improvement to streamline the Ops relentlessly
- Negotiate with vendors to get the best rates for all logistics needs
- Liaise with the procurement and accounts team to get material delivered and documentation complete
- Provide supporting documentation for audits
Does this sound like you?
Must Haves :
- 5+ years of overall experience in logistics, with demonstrated leadership of managing a logistics team of 10+ people
- Expertise in EXIM - especially imports - including policy, documentation, costing, processes
- A strong network of transporters, shipping lines, freight forwarders, 3PLs to liaise and get shipments delivered on time
- Strong negotiating skills to get the best rates from vendors
- Proficient with SAP MM module
- Proficient with MS Office
- Go getter, high ownership, and action-orientation
- Passionate about being a part of an industry-disrupting business
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to deal with highly ambiguous challenges
Preferred : Experience of working in a high growth environment
Location : Lower Parel, Mumbai
