Lupin - EHS Manager - Safety Management (12-18 yrs)

Responsibilities :

1. To ensure compliance of statutory requirements under Factories Act, 1948, CWC Act, 2000 and Maharashtra Fire Safety and Life Prevention Act, 2006.

2. To ensure compliance of corporate EHS & unit specific EHS systems.

3. Responsible for drawing approval. Compliance of Factory inspector remarks related to safety and health.

4. To carry out/ review HAZOP study and Risk Assessment of new/modified processes.

5. To review CCP and/or PMA from safety aspects.

6. Impart EHS training to company employees and contractual employees.

7. Prepare MIS report of EHS department. Prepare and present monthly performance review presentation of safety department.

8. Investigate accidents, incidents and high potential near misses. Track compliance of CAPA generated in accidents, incidents and high potential near misses.

9. Set EHS target of subordinates after discussion with seniors.

10. Organize and conduct the mock drills and submit copy of the same to Factory Inspector.

11. Review and revise on-site emergency plan.

12. Conduct EHS Walkthrough /Inspection /Audit /PCT.

13. Check hazard identification register. Review and approve risk register of the safety department.

14. To work as co-champion for risk monitoring.

15. Act as a document controller

16. Conduct area risk assessment and engineering change analysis.

17. Carry out Pre Start up Safety Review for modifications.

18. Check task observation and behavior observation prepared by line managers and carry out assessment of the same on monthly basis.

19. Prepare legal matrix of safety department and review compliance of identified legal requirements.

20. Take plant round and identify unsafe act/condition and share with concerned plant incharge/manager.

21. Check compliance of EHS critical assets related to safety department.

22. Responsible to attend departmental meeting. Chair the departmental meeting in absence of HOD- Safety.

23. Checked compliance of points reported in action tracking system as per planning and administration guideline of safety department.

24. Approve construction guideline from plant safety side in absence of HOD-Safety with recommendations, if any. Check compliance of recommendations suggested in construction guideline.

25. Check/verify QA documents like User requirement, Design Qualification, Installation Qualification.

26. In case of emergency, support the Incident Controller and Site incident controller to mitigate the emergency. If required & instructed by IC or SIC, toxic gas monitoring to be carried out.

27. Conduct promotional campaigns to improve awareness on Environment, Health, Safety and House Keeping topics.

28. Prepare budget and procure items of budget as per company procedure.

29. Prepare job responsibilities of subordinates.

30. Check compliance of safety requirements in project activities.

31. Emergency need assessment of all moderate and high activities identified as emergency.

32. Check records of work area monitoring, behavior observation and task observation.

33. To improve safety infrastructure and practices across the unit.
