1. Job Details:

2. Job Dimensions:

Number of Staff Supervised - Direct: A team of 53 resources across

3 shifts of operation Total Staff Supervised (Direct + Indirect): A team of 53 resources across 3 shifts of operation

3. Job Purpose:

To plan, organize and direct maintenance and repair of the processing plant and the related facilities and projects in PP site

4. Key Accountabilities:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Plant wide maintenance:

- Responsible for plant-wide maintenance to ensure smooth and continuous operations of various machines and equipment of the poultry plant

- Design plant wide regular maintenance schedule taking inputs from relevant managers / Superintendents and Operators

- Implement the regular maintenance schedule by ensuring both machine and manpower availability at the planned time

- Ensure preventive maintenance and troubleshooting in the processing plant

- Plan and over see upgradation of the plant maintenance facilities

- Manage the maintenance expenses by ensuring best practices in the industry

- Prepare annual budget for maintenance department in coordination with Vice President PPP and maintenance team

- Total Maintenance costs for a review period

- Engineering downtime of PPP (% of total running hours)

- Minimize downtime & Improve throughput

- Devise and implement initiatives to minimize the downtime in the processing plant

- Analyze equipment needs and ensure sufficient inventory of replacement parts and motors, taking into account local availability

- Cost of maintenance downtime

- Inventory of spares parts (SAR)

Manpower management & Safety:

- Assign responsibilities to the Deputy Manager Maintenance

- Develop safety standards for maintenance and ensure the team follows the standards regularly

- Ensure adherence by maintenance team to the HACCP safety procedure

- Maintenance Man-hour/ Actual Production time

- Safety Index

Reports & Support:

- Report as per agreed frequency on BSC using relevant measures

- Lead projects team in expansion plans and debottlenecking initiatives in PPP Compliance to the specified reporting standards in terms of frequency & accuracy of data

5. Operating Environment:

Job involves planning for preventive maintenance and managing the maintenance team to execute the plans accordingly. The jobholder is always involved in mechanical & electrical maintenance issues. Exposed to bio security concern

6. Communication & Working Relationships:

Internal:

Communicate regularly with Vice President PPP, Production team, Purchase team and maintenance team.

External :

Communicate periodically with vendors for maintenance equipment

7. Decision Making:

Drafting the periodic maintenance schedule calendar

Recommend contractors for work based on a selection criteria

All operational and tactical decisions with respect to maintenance activities of the plant

8. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Engineering (preferably in Electrical or Electro Mechancial)

Experience :

6 years experience in maintenance, preferably in Poultry industry

Job specific Skills :

Working knowledge maintenance procedures of plant machinery.

Generic Skills:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office ( MS-Excel, MS- PowerPoint, MS- Word and MS Outlook)

Working knowledge of BaaN

Working knowledge of Arabic and English

9. Competencies:

Good communication skills

Team building and management skills

Technical skills and troubleshooting skills
