Manager - Civil & Infrastructure

The role requires hands-on experience in site execution, project management, vendor coordination, and compliance to civil and construction standards. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring timely delivery, cost-effective execution, and adherence to safety, quality, and statutory regulations for all infrastructure development across the plant campus.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Site Management:

- Lead end-to-end execution of civil and infra projects including foundations, superstructures, drains, roads, boundary walls, and utility corridors.

- Monitor day-to-day site progress, ensure schedule adherence and resolve on-ground execution issues.

- Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors for smooth handover and commissioning of infrastructure.

- Prepare execution schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and ensure timely milestone completion.

Quality Control & Compliance:

- Ensure construction quality in line with design, IS codes, and project specifications.

- Conduct material and workmanship inspections; monitor QA/QC checklists and documentation.

- Ensure site safety and statutory compliance during civil execution phases.

- Support audits, documentation, and regulatory inspections as needed.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination:

- Coordinate with SCM for timely procurement of civil materials like cement, steel, aggregates, and fittings.

- Negotiate with vendors/contractors for scope finalization, rate analysis, and billing certifications.

- Ensure optimal use of resources with minimal wastage and site-based cost control.

Infra Development & Utility Integration:

- Support infrastructure development including internal roads, drainage systems, stormwater management, and admin block civil finishes.

- Coordinate civil interface works for mechanical, electrical, and utility installations.

- Liaise with utility providers for infrastructure services such as water, sewer, and power connectivity.

Planning & Documentation:

- Prepare DPRs, MIS reports, and maintain project documentation related to site progress, quality, and materials.

- Maintain updated drawings, execution logs, BOQs, RA bills, and deviation statements.

- Work with design teams for timely resolution of technical queries and drawing discrepancies.

Key Skills & Requirements:

- Experience: Minimum 8 years in Civil Execution for Industrial, Solar, or Manufacturing Projects.

- Experience in greenfield solar factory construction is a plus.

Technical Skills:

- Project Planning, Scheduling and Resource Allocation

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting Civil/Structural drawings

- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and Excel reporting

- Knowledge of BIS codes, QA/QC procedures, and estimation techniques

Soft Skills:

- Effective communication, negotiation, and contractor handling

- Strong team coordination and site supervision capability

- Analytical problem-solving and results-oriented approach

- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
