Position Title : Dy.Manager/Manager (Quality)

Location : Ankleshwar, Gujarat

Qualifications : Graduate in Engineering ( Rubber/Chemicals /Mechanical, Production, )

Experience : Min 12-13 years

- Exposure in manufacturing industries like Rubber Chemicals, Lubricants, Oils, Automobiles, Tyre, Tyrecord, Synthetic Rubbers & Silica industries would be preferred.

Department : Operations

Reporting to : VP (Operations & Projects) + Plant head

Lateral Relationship : GM Purchase, Works Managers of all Plants, HR heads of all plants and HO

External Relationship : Operations Consultants, Auditors

Key Deliverables :

Production Planning :

- To oversee on day-to-day reports for production/contribution performance of each plant.

- To organize and carry out Inspection and Testing of the raw-materials and finished products as per the Quality plans.

- To monitor product non conformances and review of the non-conforming items.

- To control / monitor quality for meeting specific requirements of customers.

- To maintain the laboratory and test equipment in order.

- To discuss with Manager Quality Control (Plant) the various technical improvements to be made at the plants / processes to reduce quality complaints (this will be necessary as long as the Production / Works Manager at the plants are not very experienced).

- To issue Test Certificates for the dispatches to the Customers.

- To carry out trials for development of new products as well as existing products.

Process Optimization :

- To advise General Manager Marketing/Marketing Managers on the optimal run size of new grades, for the optimal batch size / dates for each customer are fixed without locking money in finished or packing materials.

- Guide Maintenance Managers at each plant for modifications necessary to reduce customer complaints.

- Inter plant efficiency monitoring.

MIS Reporting :

- To review the formal monthly reports from Works Managers and work on the variances.

- Preparation of reports, data, as per management requirement

- Adherence & updation of Quality related policies.

- ISO, QS, OSHAS related audits adherence & initiatives.

Technical Audits :

- Quality related internal audits on quarterly basis.

- Customer specific audits.

Leading teams & maintaining Industrial harmony

- Managing team performance.

- Ensure job clarity, proper work allocations among team members.
