Job Title: Manager - Electrical
Reports: Manager (Electrical & Instrument) / Engineering Head
Location: Ogun State
Design & Installation
- Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems
- Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings or topographical maps.
- Establishing manufacturing or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
- Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and apply new system processes
Maintenance & Repairs
- Expected to carry out all maintenance across the factory, in both a low care and high care environment;
- Attend to breakdowns onsite ensuring that there is always a rapid response and that plant equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimised. Always endeavour to reduce downtime of site plant and machinery; and
- Carry out repairs to plant and equipment during production, effectively and efficiently, either alone and/or as part of a team;
- To carry out PPM onsite whilst always ensuring that there is a pro-active approach to planned maintenance and a high PPM output;
- Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPI's through planned, preventative & predictive maintenance.
- Deliver improvement work on machinery and site improvement work; and
- Ensure Engineering time is managed effectively and that that there is low Engineering down time; and improve OEE.
- Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects
- Record in documents all electrical design changes.
Budget Planning
- Preparation of Electrical project / maintenacne Budget and planning for adequate sparepart availability within the budget.
Vendor Management
- Consult equipment manufacturers and appropriate specialists to resolve equipment problems.
- Supervise maintenance contractors and coordinate service contracts for plant.
Compliance
- Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
Project Commissioning
- Providing technical assistance during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start up in upcoming projects on electrical matters
- Manage all electrical related engineering projects. Provide technical input, oversight and support to all special projects assigned to our ongoing operations and maintenance of the plant
Health, Safety & Environment
- Involve in job safety training and comply with all established rules and methods to ensure safe and healthy work atmosphere.
- Maintaining tools and equipment, so that they are in a safe working condition; as well as making sure that the workshop and plant rooms are safe environments at all times;
- Always adhere to Technical procedures and Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP);
- Work in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with the Company's Hygiene Code of Practice
- Ensure all Health and Safety standards are met and that all equipment complies with Company and legal standards.
Requirements: -
- B. Tech, Graduate Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Industrial) or a relevant degree
- PGD, Professional Certification/Membership, etc
- Good understanding of electrical maintenance of Solid-State Polymerization (SSP) plant along with the CP Project process.
- 10 years- accumulative Electrical Management experience preferably in Plastics Packaging / FMCG Environment. At Least 5 years in PET Environment.
- Manufacturing/Plastics Packaging / FMCG.
