Manager - Hydro Turbine Design (10-15 yrs)
Job Purpose :
This position shall be responsible for detailed engineering of hydro turbine, involving selection and sizing of turbine, hydraulic and mechanical calculations, FEA/CFD analysis, 3D modeling & 2D drafting of components, sub-assemblies and assembly, material selection and preparation of BOM.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support the marketing department for tendering: Selection, Sizing & Optimization of Hydro Turbine, preparation of GA, GTP and technical specification for the other components of power plants.
- Detailed engineering of hydro turbine and receipt of order: Hydraulic and mechanical calculations, FEA/CFD analysis, 3D modeling & 2D drafting of components, sub-assemblies and assembly.
- Selection of materials for different parts, preparation of BOM in SAP.
- Support manufacturing/ Procurement teams for resolution of technical issues.
- Support execution team for resolution of site issues and commissioning.
- New product development for hydro power generation, as per the market requirements.
- Documentation as per ISO 9001.
Skills :
- Should have experience of designing/ should be conversant with the constructional features of different type of turbine, viz. Pelton, Kaplan, Francis, Cross Flow.
- Pro E/ CREO-Mandatory
- AutoCAD- Mandatory
- CFD packages, e.g., Star CCM/Fluent/ Ansys CFX-Preferable
- PLM Package, e.g., PTC Windchill - Preferable
