Job Description :

Ensure that sound procurement and supply strategies are in place for all managed purchases, tenders & negotiations are conducted in a professional way to achieve optimal terms and to meet the needs of the site. Activities include:

Being directly responsible for indirect procurement (equipment, services and supplies) up to a value of 75k euro and without value limitation for all local procurement categories including packaging materials. Collaborate with and support category team (global and regional) for higher values as required.

Conduct negotiations and add value through Source-to-Contract (S2C) process. Prepare and execute bids & negotiations for materials & services and ensure alignment with requisitioners, Supply Chain, EHS, TDS, Legal, etc.

Work closely with production site, facilitate timely delivery with the right quality & quantity with a smooth Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process

Build market expertise, understand market developments and trends

Review, develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure alignment with global and regional strategies

Proactively initiate projects at site to create value for the organization

Support small capex projects along with project procurement coordinator and category team

Supplier Relationship Management:

Actively manage the portfolio of suppliers, strengthen partnership with key suppliers and continuously manage supplier performance. Activities included but not limited to,

Establish contacts with the management of key suppliers to acquire information on service offerings, market trends and to enable timely settlement of issues

Actively monitor supplier landscape, develop new suppliers where applicable, enable them to meet BASF's requirements, ensure reliable supply at competitive prices and to manage supplier / price risks

Ensure that suppliers meet the general and country-specific requirements and standards by aligning with requisitioners, EHS, Regional Procurement and other relevant internal and external parties
