Job Purpose:

- Responsible for supporting Product or Process Manufacturing line by setting up Manufacturing Engineering Process and Tool Development to improve Quality, Productivity, Reduce cost of Manufacturing and Delivery of component defect free.

Position Summary:

- Responsible for studying EBOM & MBOM and setting up of Manufacturing Process and required Designing of Tooling, Jigs, Fixtures and NC programing for Manufacturing of parts.

- Knowledge on Process like, NC Programing, Tool Design of Press Parts (Hot & Cold), Welding Fixtures, Machining Fixtures, Inspection Fixtures etc.

- Knowledge of Software- s, UG, CATAI, NX, CATIA, SOLID WORKS etc.

- Cutting tool selection based on requirement.

- Optimization of production process of various components.

- Part prove out & FAI.

- New supplier selection for tooling and fixture.

- Technical signoff with supplier for tool and fixture.

- Parts development for all types of components.

- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 documentation

- Knowledge on SAP.

- Responsible for making prototyping of various products / part with support from other departments.

- Monitoring & maintaining the periodic maintenance of production tooling, jigs & fixture etc.

- Maintaining of Tool Register.

- Time bound out sourcing of new tools & services.

- Cycle Time Validation.

- Ensuring of Latest Revision of Drawings on Shop Floor & Suppliers for producing parts.

- Responsible for making prototyping of various product / part with support from other departments.

- Updating of standard operating procedure of various production stages / steps.

- Process mapping of component and machining layout.

- Working on various improvement project for cost reduction, improvement in productivity, improvement in quality, enhancing safety, increasing production capacity & others.

- New Tool no. creation and link to product no in SAP (Routing sheet)

- Monitoring & maintaining the periodic maintenance of production tooling, jigs & fixture etc.

- Managing the production tooling Creating tool no. & maintaining tool history card.

- Selection of cutting tool for various CNC machines & related production process.

- Capital Budgeting and Capital equipment selection and procurement

- Supporting production team for implementing various tools to improve operational efficiency.

New part development

- Design and development of manufacturing process with the help of jigs, fixtures, tools, special gauges keeping the key objective of productivity improvement.

- Development of component as per LEMKEN Standard procedure.

- Resources planning for new projects in making tool & gauges.

- Make and buy decision of special tools.

- Monitoring the performance of newly developed part process.

- Capital requirement of new project or for making new component inhouse.
