Manager - Mechanical Product Application Engineering (6-10 yrs)
ESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY DELIVERABLES
RESPONSIBILITY
-Responsibility of design and delivery of Genset products from 100 KVA to 625 KVA
- Responsibility for upgradation of current genset product and improve performance
- Design and development of engine application systems like cool pack, exhaust system
- Benchmarking of the product range and ensure setting right target and update management on the changes
- Responsible for cost reduction by design for the current products as per business target
- Interaction with Sales and service team to resolve field issues and ensure product quality upgradation through warranty projects
- Develop innovative culture within team
- Ensure new product development process is followed for development of new products
- Interaction with outside govt agency like ARAI for getting noise and other homologation approval
- Interaction with the vendors and GOEMs
- Review the detailed design and ensure first time right product delivery at right time
- Interaction with customers to understand the requirement and translate to the engineering parameters
- Engine application system design and review (Cooling system design, Engine mounting system design, Intake & Exaust system design for application engineering on Genset)
- ARAI Certification,Type Approval, Type Testing, BIS Certification
- Ensure Adherence to project timeline and risk assessment in product development lifecycle
QUALIFICATION
- BE ( Mechanical) with atleast 10 years of experience
- Technical experience
- Expertise in design of genset canopies, sheet metal experience .
- Should have executed LKVA & MKVA genset projects
- Should have knowledge of electronic engines and experience in integration of systems like cooling system, after treatment system
- Should have complete knowledge of new product development process and design tools like DFMEA, DFS
Should have knowledge of 3D modelling software like UG NX
- Should have knowledge of Quality control tools, 7 step analysis process
- Should be familiar with ISO standards related to gensets and other emission standards related to engines
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Go Getter, ensure meeting delivery timelines with opotimized resources, Strong anticipational capability
- Strong risk analysis capability and ability to take decision in grey zone
- Interpersonal and strong Communication Skill
- SAP, CAD, Solid modeling,2D drawing, UGnx BOM
