Manager - Operations - Freight & Shipping (3-8 yrs)
Location: Belapur, Navi Mumbai

Responsibilities and Duties :
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure adequate supply of materials.
- Ensuring goods are booked on shipping vessels by the freight forwarders and understanding/coordinating the shipping schedules with carriers to track when goods will arrive.
- Creating Bills of Entries, draft BLs, COO certificates, Invoices, and Packing Lists and understanding the nuances of government payback schemes.
- Understanding regulations around importing/exporting (especially in Mundra), the nature of the industry in India and how these change/develop and ensure compliance.
- Developing and implementing plans to improve efficiency and reduce costs in supply chain operations.
- Working closely with the suppliers and the CHAs to ensure all documents are correct, comprehensive, and completed on time.
- Following up on the clearance and lab testing process proactively and managing it promptly.
- Monitoring the entire shipment process/supply chain.
- Updating the CEO on deployments and collections daily, and flag any risks or roadblocks that may affect the shipping/delivery schedule.
Qualifications :
- Preferably a Master's degree in Logistics, Business Administration or a related field
- Experience in shipping operations/logistics.
- Ability to handle unexpected situations and to think and act on the spot.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Willingness to travel to Mundra port or warehousing locations if required.
- Planning and organizational skills.
