Manager - Printing (10-12 yrs)

US Based MNC having its Plant in Vapi is looking for Manager - Printing and reporting to Unit Head

Candidate Must have :

- Experience in handling letterpress, Flexo, and digital printing

- Handling/Exposure in printing machines operational, maintenance, trouble shooting, planning

- Exposure in NPD for printing and graphics

- Handling improvement projects in improving printing productivity/Quality or Scrap improvement

- Handling printing skills improvement for operations

JOB PURPOSE : Responsible for the effective utilisation of all allocated resources for the printing department and achieve the department goals; which are in line with the unit goals/objectives of the organisation.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES :

1) Goal setting and Implementation

- To set, achieve and periodically review the departmental objectives in order to ensure alignment with the unit's goals & objective of productivity, scrap levels & cost.

- Implementation of quality systems & procedure in order to ensure HMP & GYP compliance

2) Managing Operations

- Review & rationalise the production plan in order to improve productivity & reduce scrap

- Shift scheduling & managing the manpower in order to optimise the manpower allocation

- Review, analyse & monitor the daily reports/MTI in order to maintain optimum output & reduce scrap

3) Implementation of quality standards and systems

- Monitoring of the non conformance product & to take a decision on rework / disposal of the product in order to maintain the quality standards

- Review & take corrective preventive action on the customer complaints

- To Ensure the proofing of new job is done as per customer expectation

4) Generating monthly MIS

- To generate monthly MIS of the department

- To provide timely decision making support

- Ensure WIP inventory are managed well

5) Maintain Zero Breakdown

- To ensure the preventive maintenance is conducted as per schedule in order to reduce the breakdown of the machine

6) Training the staff

- Training & development of subordinates in order to achieve quality output & ugrade skills of subordinates

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : B.E. preferably printing technology

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE :


- 10-12 years- experience in Manufacturing, automobiles, process industry.

- Prior Heading change processes in a reputed company would be desirable.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS & BEHAVIOURS : Good communication skills. Analytical skills, team leader, result oriented, initiative
