Manager - Procurement - Fruits (5-10 yrs)
Identifying and developing a strong & dedicated farmer/ vendor source for achieving cost effective fruit procurement.
Job Responsibilities :
Detailed description/specification of the role :
Developing a reliable vendor base consisting of Farmers, Merchants and Traders. Leading contract negotiations, driving cost saving initiatives, and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives. Identify new suppliers as necessary.
Vendor development and back up plan of existing vendors.
Develop strong Agri-Extension programme by developing linkages with Agri-input manufacturers, University & Govt. Horticulture Department.
Maintain integrity and transparency in fruit procurement with regard to pricing and buying decisions.
Work out possibility of Bulk buying, hedging, or opportunity buying, logistic savings, etc.
