Responsibilities:

- Understand and abide by Company guidelines, vision and production philosophy

- Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements

- Understand foreign equipment manufacturer specifications and standards and identify suitable processes to meet manufacturing requirements under Make in India program

- Coordinate with Foreign principals to understand technology requirements and ensure thorough compliance of the required standards and specifications

- Ability to visualise likely

- Organize workflow to meet specifications, carry out production planning

- Prepare and implement standard operating procedures for production operations and ensure compliance/adherence to approved procedures. Determine and implement improvements to the production process to meet changed product requirements.

- Determine necessary resources (Funds, workforce, machines and facilities and make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement

- Assess and estimate raw material requirements, initiate raw material indent

- Monitor production to resolve issues of timely delivery, quality and inspection

- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)

- Plan and implement maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.

- Estimate manufacturing costs and prepare production budgets

- Ensure output meets quality standards

- Prepare and maintain production reports

- Enforce health and safety precautions

- Report to Higher management

Skill Set :

- Experience on production floor in a factory employing a minimum of 50 personnel, with thorough knowledge of Mechanical engineering production processes including fabrication, machining, pressing, forming, assembly and painting

- Ability to understand technical nuances of foreign eqpt specifications and ability to translate foreign specifications to Indian specifications for compliance

- Ability to manufacture and test engineering equipment based on Foreign Standards

- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations, pollution norms

- Experience in reporting on key production metrics

- Ability to handle and work with MS Office and ERP software

- Outstanding communication ability, excellent organizational and leaderships skills

- Attention to detail and understanding of product development process

- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach

- Capability of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts

Education and Experience :

- Bachelor's degree - Mechanical engineering, industrial technology

- Experience(5 to 6 years) in production, manufacturing processes and techniques

- Experience of having dealt with international Engineering firms for product delivery or maintenance or manufacturing

- Understanding & Experience of ISO quality systems and standards

- Experience of Contract Management for Product delivery

- Knowledge of raw materials and product management

- Knowledge and Experience of managing IACS/ TPI Inspections, IACS member Classification Society rules and QA Processes, desirable to have experience of testing of foreign equipment.

- Knowledge of DGQA processes and Inspection requirements would be an added advantage.
