Job description of Production Manager - Footwear ( Private Label )
Role objective : to manage operations of product development and production planning of Private Label.
Reports to : Head of Production
Job Description :
- Product Sampling & Costing
- Receive design packs from Design and brief them to Suppliers-Attention to detail required.
- Allocation of sample as per supplier strength
- Responsibility to get sampling on time
- Negotiation with supplier for Costing in proper format, with open costing breakup
- Sharp and comparative negotiation with supplier to obtain desired margin
- Stay updated with new materials, techniques and cost effective ways to sample/produce.
Production & Deliveries :
- Weekly supplier visits to facilitate sampling and production
- Resolve all query regarding to production
- To make sure to maintain the quality standard
- Make sure to maintain target delivery time for production
Coordination :
- Clear communication with UK team and Vendors/Suppliers
Vendor Sourcing :
- Sourcing the supplier as per requirement & their production capability who can work with us to achieve bottom line of category.
- Ensure range balance and range hierarchy in each phase.
- Stay updated with competition and find competitive advantage
- Periodic Vendor Assessment.
- Management
- Critical Path Management
- Maintain Sample tracker and Production tracker
- Clear Sample Management to maintain history and reference.
Education - Masters/bachelor's degree in Apparel Production/ Retail.
Experience : 8-10 years from progressive Sector e-commerce/Retail/ export.
Salary budget : Best in the industry
