Manager - Purchase (3-5 yrs)
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish beneficial vendor relationships
- Provide daily updates of progress on pending matters, including payments done and status of work pending
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify procurement needs and specifications
- Suggest and verify vendors and suppliers up to the standard of the organisation
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost efficiency and quality
- Ensure the collation of vendor data for ease of future use
- Prepare purchase orders, review requisitions, and manage the procurement process from order placement to delivery
- Monitor inventory levels and track procurement activities to ensure timely availability of materials
- Coordinate with accounts payable to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices
- Resolve supplier-related issues, such as quality concerns or delivery discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
