Manager - Purchase - Construction (5-10 yrs)
Post : Manager Purchase & Contract
Experience : Min 5 to 10 years proven experience as purchase manager (preferably min exp of 5 yrs. in construction industry)
Package : 5 to 8 lacs
- Administer on-line purchasing systems bases on demand and maintain min stock level of products where required
- Conduct research to find the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
- Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers
- Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
- Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers.
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
- Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability
- Process payments and invoices
- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers keep contract files and use them as reference for the future
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Commercial awareness
- Strong analytical ability
- Proficient in MS office and internet savvy
Education : Any Graduates and/or Master with specialization in civil/other engineering, management, Operations management, Purchasing and supply or any other equivalent education.
