Designation : Manager Purchase

Reporting To : Regional Operations Director

Location : Chennai, Tamilnadu.

Principal Accountabilities :

- Be accountable for purchasing including local, imported and purchases made through subcontracting in the respective region.

- Establish and maintain strategic supplier strategies and relationships; agree on annual and multi-year contracts; perform purchasing negotiations with strategically important suppliers in collaboration with the Area Purchase Manager for best cost and quality sourcing.

- Fulfil regional supply chain requirements based on lean processes.

- Ensure all entities and employees conduct business in line with applicable laws and regulations, as well as with global and local policies and procedures and the companies code of conduct.

- Define and implement regional standards for purchasing and introduce a corporate culture (change management), adherence to DORMA Group compliance guidelines.

- Ensure transparency of purchasing data, reports and KPIs.

- Supplier evaluation and reevaluation.

- Encourage a vital and productive atmosphere and build a motivated team throughout area of responsibility. Assure and constantly develop quality of staff in this field by a strategic Talentmanagement@DORMA.

- To create effective and efficient purchasing process in the Region in line with the global supply chain strategy to satisfy global and local demands, following highest - Lean- standards and customer orientation.

- Develop, establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships to support the purchasing objectives of the DORMA subsidiaries in the Region.

- Ability to develop, adapt imported products in contract manufacturing in India at competitive rates.

- Previous experience should clearly reflect capability to achieve indigenization projects at targeted cost.

- To establish Vendors for Local procurement /Contract Manufacturing basis to meet the Cost Savings.

- To negotiate and get savings from the Vendors on Annual contract basis. Sound Knowledge on SAP, Mechanical component sourcing like Pressed components, Plastic Moulded components and Pressure Die Castings on contract Manufacturing

- Development of high metal components with exposure to development of precision pressed components, injection moulded component.

- Pressure die cast components, aluminum extrusions, investment casted components of high quality and exposure to SAP, QC, Quality management, TPM, advanced processed to maintain quality.
