Location - Digwal, Zaheerabad (Telangana)

Job Description :

- Active role in the organizations initiative on safety improvement program at the unit level.

- Imparting trainings (awareness and skilled training; introductory and refresher training).

- Primary responsibility of Process Safety Management in the unit.

- Collating Process Safety Information in the prescribed formats.

- Carrying out Process Hazard Analysis for existing and new processes thru multi- disciplinary teams.

- Tracking the implementation of the PHA recommendations.

- Carrying of CRA (chemical Risk Analysis through Multi-disciplinary teams.

- Analysis of all change controls raised in the plant for safety impact and recommending safety requirements (Management of Change). Verification of the MoC recommendations.

- Pre-Start-up Safety Review of the newly installed systems or after major modifications in the plants. Identifying the pre and post start-up requirements.

- Having good knowledge & implementation of Management systems like ISO-14001&18001.

- Support to ecology sustainability initiatives.

- Preparation and review of the Job Safety Analysis, for routine and non-routine works (operation or maintenance).

- Application and maintaining of LOTO system for proper isolation of the process / operations & equipments in maintenance works.

- Work Permits: Training plant & SHE persons on the Permit System, cross- checking of permits issued, field checks during execution, monitoring during critical works (heavy machinery erection / movement, hot works in plant areas, other risky works height, hazard chemicals, etc)

- Training people for height works, providing lifeline, ensuring use of Safety Belts / fall arresters and medical checks, where necessary. Inspection and tagging of the scaffolds, as per company standards. Inspection and tagging of ladders.

- Excavation safety: Taking precautions for underground installations (piping, cable), shoring, scaffolding / gas monitoring.

- Identification of all Confined Spaces in plant; ensuring - isolations during vessel entry & monitoring during the work; providing rescue device and training.

- Equipment/Machine guarding of rotating / moving parts, preventing slips and falls or hits against body parts. Inspection of hoists, guards, lifting tools & tackles.

- Checking of electrical equipments for zone classification, integrity of flame-proof worthiness, equipment earthing, isolation during maintenance works (LOTO) and adherence to electrical procedures / standards.

- Getting all incidents reported in the system and conducting investigations; developing root cause analysis and implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions.

- Sharing of the incident details within the unit and with other units of the organization.

- Maintaining a Risk Register comprising of risks relevant for the site and also as learnt from outside incidents. Developing and implementing action plan on it.

- Preparation, Co-ordination for second party and external audits and taking corrective actions.

- Conducting theme based audits / surveys on a periodical basis, in all sections of the plant and rectifying the gaps found.

- Static controls: Building awareness, training plant persons, providing tools, monitoring usage.

- Providing and ensuring usage of PPEs.

- Organizing tool-box talks selection of topics, input points; done thru respective plant persons and SHE, for contractors.

- Identifying & reporting unsafe actions and unsafe conditions; interacting with shop floor personnel, correcting on the spot as much as possible. Understanding their needs / concerns and rectifying.

- Analysis of leading & lagging indicators and taking appropriate actions.

- Onsite Emergency Response planning, training people, conducting mock drills.

- Maintenance of safety appliances Fire Hydrant System, Fire Extinguishers, Eye wash / showers, fire alarm systems, first aid boxes, SCBA /PAPR, Fire Brigade / Emergency Supplies and ECC.

- Occupational Health Centre monitoring of the first aid cases and potential occupational illnesses.

CTC - 8 to 11 lacs per annum

Experience : 10-15 years

Qualification : BE/B.Tech (Chemical) or BSC/Msc (Chemistry) and Diploma/post Diploma industrial safety as per the Local factories rules.
