Manager/Senior Manager - Process Design (5-15 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:
Process Engineering Leadership:
- Lead a team of process engineers in the conceptualization, design, and development of efficient and cost-effective processes, with a focus on hydrometallurgy projects.
- Provide expert guidance and technical direction to ensure the team meets project goals and deadlines.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
Basic Engineering Development:
- Oversee the preparation and finalization of crucial BEP components, including:
- Process Flow Diagrams (P&IDs)
Equipment lists
Equipment data sheets
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of process design with overall project requirements.
Project Management:
- Actively participate in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Technical Expertise:
- Possess a strong understanding of mass and energy balance principles in process design.
- Demonstrate a deep knowledge of instrumentation and control systems within process engineering.
- Utilize advanced engineering tools and software for process modeling and optimization.
- Lead the preparation of Project Management Schedule (PMS) and Vendor Management Schedule (VMS).
- Develop comprehensive CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) and OPEX (Operating Expenditure) estimates.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from a reputable university with a strong academic record (First Division preferred).
- 10-12 years of demonstrably successful experience in process design and engineering within a design and engineering company, preferably with a focus on hydrometallurgy projects.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with a track record of motivating and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus, AutoCAD).
