Manager/Senior Manager - Safety Management (10-20 yrs)
JOB TITLE: Safety Manager/Sr. Manager

LOCATION: Sriperumbudur, Chennai
ROLE DEFINITION
- The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing workplace safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a safety-first culture within the heat exchanger industry.
- They lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and employee training to minimise hazards and maintain operational safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES :
- Developing and implementing workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Leading incident investigations and implementing corrective measures.
- Organizing safety training programs for employees and contractors.
- Monitoring and ensuring adherence to statutory safety regulations.
- Evaluating and improving safety systems and emergency response plans.
- Coordinating with regulatory authorities and auditors for compliance.
- Preparing periodic safety reports for management.
TASKS AND ACTIVITIES :
- Identifying workplace hazards and developing mitigation strategies.
- Conducting regular safety audits and inspections.
- Reviewing and approving safety plans for new projects.
- Maintaining records of safety incidents and corrective actions.
- Ensuring timely submission of statutory safety documents.
- Monitoring usage and condition of safety equipment and PPE.
- Collaborating with teams to foster a culture of safety.
- Organizing mock drills and emergency response activities.
MEASUREMENT AND METRICS
- Zero workplace accidents or incidents.
- Timely compliance with safety regulations.
- Completion of scheduled safety audits and inspections.
- Successful implementation of training programs within deadlines.
- Improved safety performance metrics within six months.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health, or related field.
Experience: 10+ years in safety management roles, with expertise in compliance and risk management.
