Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: To monitor all stores related matters including issues of receipt pertaining to engineering, raw materials and finished goods stores.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. INVENTORY: To perform thorough ABC analysis

Controlling the inventory on basis of quality by resetting the re-ordering level and lot size according to the ABC analysis

2. INVENTORY ANALYSIS:

To inform the head of the concerned user department about slow-moving or non-moving inventory analysis and requesting to take corrective action

3. INTERFACING:

To coordinate with various departments to avoid any delay in materials or machine breakdown and take corrective action if required

To coordinate with vendors for excise invoice, lifting of rejected items, inquiring if excess quantity received, etc.

4. AVAILABILITY: Ensure availability of materials, supply of material and timely availability of finished products in the market for customers

Ensure quality dispatches of raw materials/ finished goods and as per program of logistics

Ensure timely attention and accounting of raw material to save the company from financial losses

Ensure proper storage and handling of materials

Look after scraps, generate better value for the scrap and increase revenue through sale of scrap

Oversee Octroi transactions and refund claims of Octroi on time

Arrange transport for dispatches of RM to sourcing units

Ensure the timely unloading & loading of finished goods to avoid damage due to change of vehicles

Ensure adherence to OHSAS, Environment, Health and Safety standards and overall statutory compliance
