Manager - Strategic Sourcing & Projects - Healthcare (7-11 yrs)
Principal Duties and Responsibilities -
The role will involve strategic thinking, innovation, negotiation and relationship building :
- Lead Project Management for Strategic Sourcing goals and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved
- Lead project management; tracking and delivering project on time, evaluate cost/ quality & change requests and optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
- Anticipate issues and conduct regular project reviews with internal and external stakeholders for mitigation plan
- Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities
- As Key Account Lead, work with various stakeholders to set up and implement robust supply chain across Medicities and avoid service failures and consequently avoid penalties
- Constantly seek out improvement of purchasing processes and practices that eliminate non-value-added activity, perform cost and scenario analysis and incorporate relevant best practices
- Work with global sourcing, regional marketing, manufacturing teams to implement local sourcing strategy and leverage Preferential Market Access. This will involve analysis product portfolio and building local manufacturing capability
- Identify and develop contract manufacturing vendor in India, from healthcare background and strong quality management systems, to support local sourcing plans
Education/ Experience Requirements -
- An ideal candidate will come with at least 6-10 years' experience in medium to large organisation with an MBA in Operations/Supply Chain
- Experience with local sourcing will be an advantage, preferably in healthcare industry
- Proven experience on project management, aligning stakeholders around strategy and execution
- Accomplished negotiator and able to construct and manage complex, sophisticated arrangements and sustain networking relationships
- Initiator who takes ownership of the activities & ensure successful completion of the same
