Manager - Surface Coating & Finishing Process Development'
Responsibilities:
1. Development and establishment of painting and plating process on new parts and new C&G in existing vehicles.
2. Development and establishment of finishing operations on molded parts.
3. Development of new technologies in painting for alternate low-cost / energy efficient processes.
4. Trouble shooting of defects. Data collection, stratification, analysis and implementation of CAPA.
5. Development of Decals.
6. Testing and approval of painted parts as per BAL standards.
7. Process audit and monitoring of improvement actions.
8. Establishment of poka-yoke for mistake proofing.
Delivery Responsibilities :
1. Implementation of C&G.
2. Improvement of PQCD at painting vendors.
3. Evaluation of painting sources.
Others : Should know Electro deposition, Powder coating, Plating,
Technical/ Functional:
Knowledge of Paint Manufacturing process.
Knowledge of Raw Materials, especially Plastics.
Knowledge of Painting Booths & Guns.
Knowledge of paint testing standards.
TPM knowledge (Good to have) :
JH and PM activities of paint and plating shops.
